Job summary

Lion Country Safari, Inc. is seeking a maintenance assistant to support day-to-day operations of the park. Responsibilities include minor electrical repairs, plumbing and carpentry, water line work, and preventive maintenance on rides and attractions.

The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, outdoor work in varied weather, and occasional public interaction. Valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to learn all repair tasks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in minor electrical, plumbing repairs, and carpentry.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Valid FL Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to learn all park and preserve repairs.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor electrical repairs e.g. change light bulbs, switches, timers, wiring.
• Assist with repairs of water leaks, toilet fixtures, faucets, unclog drains/sewers.
• Assist with plumbing installations.
• Dig up water and sewer lines for repair.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on all park rides and attractions.
• Repair fences.
• Deal with public one-to-one as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management Team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform minor electrical repairs e.g. change light bulbs, switches, timers, wiring
• Assist with repairs of water leaks, toilet fixtures, faucets, unclog drains/sewers
• Assist with plumbing installations
• Dig up water and sewer lines for repair
• Assist with preventive maintenance on all park rides and attractions
• Repair fences
• Must be eager and willing to learn all aspects of repairs around park and preserve
• Assist in keeping the park neat and tidy
• Must be prepared to deal with public one-to-one as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management Team

Requirements

• Valid FL Driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Experience in minor electrical, plumbing repairs, and carpentry
• Ability to lift 50lbs or greater
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions, including heat and rain
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
