Job summary

A community association in Orlando is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the facilities and common areas. Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance ensuring cleanliness of the facility.
  • Implement and maintain service standards for guest satisfaction.

Job description

Storey Park Community Association is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in helping maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of our community facilities and common areas.

General Purpose

Assists in the oversight of and provides for overall repair and maintenance of the entire facility, grounds upkeep, and contracted services such as trash, elevator, boiler, HVAC, and window cleaning.

Essential Duties
  • Performs repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Assists manager in communicating any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience
  • Required:
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on building, facility, or HOA/apartment/community maintenance experience.
    • Basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC at a light-repair level.
    • Ability and willingness to obtain Florida CPO or equivalent public pool operator certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Preferred:
    • Prior experience maintaining pools and spas in a Florida HOA, apartment, resort, or club environment.
    • Spanish language skills a plus for communicating with a diverse resident community.
    • Experience with fitness equipment at a basic troubleshooting level.
    • Familiarity with Florida building, life safety, and public pool regulations relevant to common‑area facilities.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently stands, walks and sits; regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks and hears; occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, pushes, and pulls; regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise
  • Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions; occasionally works in wet or humid (non-weather) conditions; occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles; toxic, or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co‑workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
