Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our Dryden, NY communities. You’ll handle painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic repairs to keep our homes safe and inviting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in maintenance, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift heavy items. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus to connect with residents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience
• A high school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities
• Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we’ll train you!)
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills, a plus that helps connect with our residents

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning
• Maintain curb appeal through landscaping, snow/ice removal, and seasonal upkeep
• Respond with urgency by completing work orders promptly and rotating for emergency on-call coverage
• Prioritize quality and compliance with safety, property, and inspection standards
• Collaborate with peers and residents, showing empathy and pride in repairs

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
