Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Birchwood, WI is seeking Maintenance Technicians for 1st shift, 5:30am to 3:30pm. Four-day work week with overtime on Fridays and shift differential offered. You will perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment including presses, sanders and conveyors.

The role requires hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication and welding knowledge, blueprint reading, and strong problem-solving. Vocational degree or 5+ years experience preferred; some PLC knowledge is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will have a Vocational Degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and safety instructions; apply problem solving to complex situations.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication and welding and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment such as presses, sanders and conveyors.
• Communicates daily issues via documentation, emails and verbal updates; works with minimal supervision.
• Able to work overtime or on-call as needed; supports safety procedures and continuous improvement.
