Job summary

Wallick Communities in Toledo is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations and maintain the community's physical environment at Oakleaf Village Toledo-4220 North Holland Sylvania Rd. This full-time role focuses on completing work orders, grounds upkeep, and ensuring reliable HVAC and building systems.

The position requires 1+ year(s) in supervision and 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in senior living, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and

Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a supervisory role.
  • 2+ years maintenance experience, ideally in a Senior Living setting.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and experience with the use of power tools.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents and family members.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete building work orders and service requests as assigned.
  • Paint and assist with the upkeep of the grounds including landscaping.
  • Reports all mechanical failure or negative conditions as observed in assigned area to Maintenance Director.
  • Fix fixtures, heating/cooling units, etc.
  • Maintain maintenance equipment.
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance functions for the community to include carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & HVAC.
  • Maintain the physical appearance of the community.

The work - How you will contribute

As the Maintenance Director, you will manage and complete the day-to-day maintenance functions as well as maintain the physical environment of the community.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
  • You have 1 or more years in a supervisory role
  • 2 or more years of maintenance experience, ideally in a Senior Living setting
  • You can provide great customer service.
  • You should be proficient using Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and experience with the use of power tools.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents and family members.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills.
  • Make routine decisions requiring minimal judgment which may affect internal department.
