Role Description

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Terre Haute, IN, responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of a multifamily residential community. Daily tasks include performing routine and emergency maintenance, completing work orders, diagnosing issues with building systems and equipment, and carrying out repairs in apartments and common areas. The role involves conducting regular property inspections, assisting with preventive maintenance schedules, and helping ensure units are ready for new residents. The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with the property management team, communicate professionally with residents, and adhere to safety standards and company policies in all maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Maintenance & Repair and Industrial Maintenance for residential or commercial building systems.


• Experience with Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable operation and reduce downtime.


• Ability in Troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and determine effective solutions.


• Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair is preferred.


• Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of tools, PPE, and adherence to building codes.


• Ability to lift and move equipment, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.


• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with residents and team members.


• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as required by property needs.
