Job summary

Beacon Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Fairlane Apartments in Taylor, MI. This full-time role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance to preserve property condition and resident satisfaction.

The technician will handle service requests, participate in the on-call rotation for 24-hour emergency maintenance, perform floating duties, and help maintain landscaping and common areas. A valid driver’s license is required along with relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and strong communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with residents and staff.
• Good written and verbal communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Handle service requests and complete make-ready repairs within 24 hours when possible.
• Participate in 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call rotation.
• Perform floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain community curb appeal and assist with landscaping and common area needs.

The Maintenance Technician will perform all routine and preventative maintenance in order to maintain the physical integrity of the property.

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively handle service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible. Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24 hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by; picking up the grounds, removing snow and debris, working on the landscaping and common area needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and locks.
• Current, Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance – driving record must meet eligibility requirements.
• Customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the residents and community staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
