Job summary

Beacon Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Augusta Farms in Waynesboro, VA. The role is full-time and on-site, focusing on routine and preventative maintenance to preserve the property’s integrity and curb appeal.

You will handle service requests, participate in the 24-hour on-call rotation, and support on-site operations with timely repairs and resident satisfaction. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Qualifications include experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and locks.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (driving record must meet eligibility).
• Customer service skills and ability to develop rapport with residents and staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to preserve the property’s physical integrity.
• Respond to service requests; complete make-ready repairs and services on schedule.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24-hour maintenance support.
• Maintain curb appeal by cleaning grounds, snow removal, and landscaping as needed.

The Maintenance Technician will perform all routine and preventative maintenance in order to maintain the physical integrity of the property.

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively handle service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible. Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24 hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by; picking up the grounds, removing snow and debris, working on the landscaping and common area needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and locks.
• Current, Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance - driving record must meet eligibility requirements.
• Customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the residents and community staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
