Job summary

You will read blueprints, order parts, and maintain records while following safety procedures; 2+ years of maintenance experience and industrial schooling preferred.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance schooling preferred.
• 2+ years of maintenance mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on machinery including electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related work.
• Read blueprints, drawings and plans to determine maintenance procedures.
• Repair, replace, align, adjust, and install parts of plant equipment and machinery.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
• Operate equipment and make adjustments before handing over to operators.
• Determine material needs and obtain parts or have them made as needed.
• Welding, brazing, or burning as required for repairs or lubrication.
• Lift and rig heavy components, using appropriate equipment.
• Carry out minor electrical repairs, pipefitting, and building maintenance on plant facilities.
• Transport materials and parts to work areas using forklift or other means.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintain maintenance records.

Description

Perform all maintenance, including electrical/mechanical and PLC programming/ and troubleshooting on machinery.

Receives instructions and work assignments from Supervisor. Works from blueprints of drawings and plans working procedure.

• Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair work to equipment and machinery throughout the plant as required.
• Repairs, replaces, aligns, adjusts, and installs parts of plant equipment and machinery.
• Read effectively mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
• Operates equipment and makes adjustments to ensure proper operating conditions prior to turning over to operating personnel.
• Determines material needs and is responsible for getting material to job and for getting necessary parts ordered or made.
• Performs any necessary welding, brazing, or burning in making repairs or lubricating parts.
• Performs climbing, rigging, lifting and hoisting.
• Performs minor electrical repairs, pipefitting, and maintenance and construction on plant buildings and facilities, such as replacing and wiring up motors, installing all types of lines, and repairing and replacing parts in pumps.
• Performs electromechanical and electrical repairs as well.
• Transports material, parts, and supplies to assigned work areas using a forklift truck/cart or other means of transporting.
• Report and/or remedy unsafe working conditions.
• Keep necessary maintenance records.
• Keeps work area in a clean and safe, orderly condition at all times.
• Follows all safety procedures.

Requirements

Industrial Maintenance Technical Schooling preferred

Prior Maintenance Mechanical experience 2+ years preferred.
