Job summary

Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center, FL is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep residential apartments and common areas in top condition. You will perform maintenance tasks and respond to on-call requests, ensuring safety and quality for our residents.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of maintenance experience, a High School diploma or GED, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances, and a valid Florida driver's license. Monday–Friday day shift with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Knowledge of HVAC.
• Effective communication with residents and staff.
• Florida driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through maintenance tasks.
• Respond to on-call maintenance requests as part of the Maintenance team.

Monday-Friday Day Shift with on call responsibility.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools and equipment. The Maintenance Tech serves as a member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the physical condition of the all buildings on campus.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances. Must have knowledge of HVAC. Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff. Must function under general supervision. Must be flexible and have integrity. Must possess the ability of effectively work with residents and staff. Must have clear Florida Driver's license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School or GED. Should possess 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
