Job summary

Freedom Plaza is seeking a Maintenance Tech to uphold the upkeep of residential apartments and public areas on campus. The role requires performing tasks using general maintenance and repair techniques, with a focus on safety and quality, as part of a responsive maintenance team.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of maintenance experience, high school diploma or GED, and a valid Florida driver's license. The position is Monday–Friday with on-call duties and a wage of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Must have knowledge of HVAC.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Monday-Friday Day Shift with on call responsibility.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools and equipment. The Maintenance Tech serves as a member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the physical condition of the all buildings on campus.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess the ability of effectively work with residents and staff. Must have clear Florida Driver's license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School or GED. Should possess 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
