Job summary

Freedom Plaza Sun City is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep residential apartments and common areas well-maintained on a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities. You will perform routine maintenance, electrical and plumbing tasks, and minor repairs across campus to ensure safety and quality of living spaces.

The role requires HVAC knowledge, the ability to communicate clearly with residents and staff, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must possess working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Must have knowledge of HVAC.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
• Must have clear Florida Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Tech is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through maintenance tasks.
• Tasks require general maintenance and repair techniques, using appropriate materials, tools and equipment.
• Work as a member of the Maintenance team to uphold the physical condition of all campus buildings.

Wage: $20.00 per hour

Monday-Friday Day Shift with on call responsibility.

Must have clear driving record.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools and equipment. The Maintenance Tech serves as a member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the physical condition of the all buildings on campus.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances. Must have knowledge of HVAC. Must possess the ability of effectively work with residents and staff. Must have clear Florida Driver's license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School or GED. Should possess 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
