Rauch & Associates is partnering with a manufacturing client near Sterling Heights, Michigan, to add skilled maintenance technicians for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This hands-on role targets technicians who love tearing into CNC equipment and diagnosing why it stops cooperating.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial maintenance with CNC repair experience.
• Comfort working a full troubleshooting cycle: alarm, diagnosis, root cause, repair.
• Experience with pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and pick up overtime when the floor needs it.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and horizontal machining centers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Okuma OSP, Mazatrol/Mazak controls)
• Performing mechanical repairs on spindles, slides, ball screws, and bearings, plus machine alignments and calibrations
• Troubleshooting electrical systems including motors, drives, sensors, relays, transformers, and 460V 3-phase circuits
• Reading ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and schematics to get to root cause, not just the symptom
• Backing up and reinstalling machine software, firmware, and PLC configurations
• Keeping support equipment (conveyors, elevators, blenders) running alongside the core machines
• Documenting repairs and parts used so the next tech has the full picture

One of our manufacturing clients near Sterling Heights is adding skilled maintenance technicians to their team, with immediate openings on 1st and 2nd shift. This is a hands on role for someone who genuinely likes tearing into CNC equipment and figuring out why it stopped cooperating.

What You Will Be Doing

• Diagnosing and repairing CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and horizontal machining centers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Okuma OSP, Mazatrol/Mazak controls)
• Performing mechanical repairs on spindles, slides, ball screws, and bearings, plus machine alignments and calibrations

Shifts

• 1st shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (multiple openings)
• 2nd shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• 3rd shift, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (limited opening)
