Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in St. Marys, GA is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to keep our Dixie Consumer Products facility running at peak performance. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and support startup and shutdown projects to meet safety and production goals.

Pay starts at $29.80 per hour, with a rotating 8‑hour shift (day and night) and no weekends. Experience with SAP maintenance logs and knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens) preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years or more of manufacturing mechanical/electrical maintenance experience including safety procedures.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing various electrical and electronic equipment ranging in voltages from 24 VDC to 600 VDC.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment, process controls, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Performing setup of components such as HMI, VFD, controllers, and recorders as necessary per job.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
• Performing periodic maintenance routines including lubricating machine tools and equipment for improved reliability and uptime.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance logs including labor hours and critical preventative maintenance findings through SAP.
• Working with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering
• Experience reading and creating technical documents (P&ID, electrical schematics, etc.)
• Extensive experience working on all types of industrial, electrical, and electronic equipment, including motors, valves, actuators, transmitters, and PLC equipment (Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens, Wonderware/Indusoft)
• Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
