Job summary

Keeley Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician in St. Louis, MO to support building operations, perform repairs, and ensure safety and efficiency across facilities.

Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, lighting, drywall, and general interior maintenance, with 24x7 emergency readiness and strict safety adherence. Strong teamwork and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance.
• Experience in plumbing, mechanical systems, and basic electrical.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and maintain relationships.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support the building operations team in maintenance and repair of all building equipment, systems, and overall building operations.
• Repair plumbing, lighting, doors, etc. as needed.
• Complete general interior maintenance repairs and servicing: ceilings, drywall, painting, carpeting, flooring, lighting, moves, furniture, appliances, locks, tenant requests, etc.
• Maintain and repair various plumbing equipment and systems.
• Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping and safety of all work areas.
• Respond to emergencies, 24x7 as required.
• Perform facility inspections and report conditions impacting occupancy and operations.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as required.

Keeley Properties is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to the building operations team in the maintenance and repair of all building equipment, systems, and overall building operations.
• Repair plumbing, lighting, doors, etc. as needed.
• Complete general interior maintenance repairs and servicing: ceilings, drywall, painting, carpeting, flooring, lighting, moves, furniture, appliances, locks, tenant requests, etc.
• Maintain and repair various plumbing equipment and systems.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of all work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Respond effectively to all emergencies, as may be required 24x7.
• Perform assigned facility inspections, evaluations, or due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training and development programs.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as required or requested.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required for general maintenance of building facilities.
• Required to carry and climb a ladder for the replacement of light bulbs whenever necessary.
• Ability to walk up to a mile to travel between buildings for maintenance requests and endurance to be upright all shift as this is a non-sedentary position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2-5) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, plumbing, mechanical systems, and basic electrical.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, management, and department head staff and various agency personnel.
• Must have computer skills.
• Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
