Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Technician in St. Johnsbury, VT to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. You will support predictive maintenance and safety programs to help meet business goals, working with a range of tools and systems.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work overtime when needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay and a safety-conscious team

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs.

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and test equipment and systems.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and clean work areas.
• Support ISO standards and objectives.

Maintenance Technician

Full Time Craft Workers St. Johnsbury, VT, US

Salary Range: $24.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Job Summary:To support MMG mission to be the preferred supply chain partner to the North East Region’s leading manufacturers providing quality parts, on-time at the most competitive price. This positions is primarily responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production hours and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Occasionally perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Must maintain and reinforce ISO standards and objectives.
• Must be able to work extended hours when required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

Preferred KSA’s:

• Blue print reading skills
• Basic math and trigonometry skills
• Read equipment manuals to preform required maintenance
• Strong understanding of machine tool geometry and usage with various materials
• Basic knowledge for electrical
• Not afraid of heights and can work from ladders
• Basic knowledge of ISO concepts

This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
