Job summary

Perimeter Healthcare's Perimeter Behavioral of Springfield is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join the team on a full-time, day-shift schedule. This hands-on role supports a safe, welcoming environment for children and staff.

You will repair sheetrock, paint, maintain electrical and HVAC systems, and manage routine facility upkeep, including lawn and safety checks, with lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in a commercial building setting, including electrical, mechanical, and air conditioning equipment.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow all safety measures.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, with the ability to properly maintain department tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform sheetrock repairs, painting, and routine facility upkeep.
• Ability to perform routine labor and lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair sheetrock, paint, change light bulbs, maintain ceiling tiles, clean carpets, and strip, clean, and buff floors as needed.
• Complete scheduled audits of electrical and HVAC systems.
• Maintain audit reports and facility documentation as needed.
• Perform routine repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Operate inside and outside equipment to help maintain safe lawn, sidewalk, and parking areas, including mowing, snow, and ice support as needed.
• Ensure playground equipment is functioning safely.
• Follow all facility safety guidelines and help maintain a clean, secure, and supportive environment.
