Position: Maintenance Technician - Automotive Engine Remanufacturing

Job Description:

As part of our continued growth, LKQ is seeking the right person to join our maintenance team. Responsibilities include:

1. Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment
2. Performing carpentry duties to construct and maintain building and equipment
3. Performing electrical trade functions such as installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment
4. Performing welding operations to maintain plant equipment, processes, and facilities
5. Performing general plumbing duties including water, natural gas, etc.
6. Performing preventative maintenance on required equipment

The role may also involve other duties as assigned, training fellow workers, or filling in for others as needed. Safety is paramount; perform duties safely to excel in this position. If you enjoy growth and working with enthusiastic individuals, you'll enjoy a career with us!

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write (verified through the employment process)
• Use of equipment including hand tools, power tools, forklift, ladders, boom lift, scissor lift, welding equipment, pipe threader, lathe, and others (*hand tools must be provided by the employee)
• Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing all required personal protective equipment
• Provide quality work that meets internal and external customer needs
• Physical demands include continuous effort, standing, walking, lifting (up to 80+ lbs), bending, and working in tight spaces
• Work environment may include exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, and chemicals
