Job Overview
Shift: N2; Wed., Thur., Fri. ; Alternating Sat. 6:30PM - 7:00AM.
The Spartanburg operation is a state‑of‑the‑art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility in addition to hosting a full beverage distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment, including control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on high‑speed packaging lines.
- Use the maintenance database to review documentation, communicate maintenance issues to operators, engineers and supervisors, and utilize the maintenance inventory system.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying causes of waste, coordinating with employees to develop root‑cause analysis, and providing maintenance assistance.
- Support operators with adjustments, setups and changeovers, assist other maintenance technicians, and collaborate with engineers and vendors on special projects.
- Modify machinery using machine tools, welding equipment and measuring devices and train/co‑coach peers on best practices.
- Follow Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.
- Comply with all safety policies, participate in coaching of the Safety program, report safety violations, and engage in Job Hazard/Risk Analysis.
- Understand, comply with, and coach quality systems including QDS, SQF, GMP, and HACCP; participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) events.
- Co‑operate and plan with other shifts to address handoff issues; use the Daily Management System (DMS) escalation process; coach team members on maintenance work and procedures.
- Gather data on equipment issues to contribute to problem‑solving using KPIs and work effectively across zones and production lines.
- Understand cost drivers for cup production (labor, scrap, material usage, utilities, spares, downtime) and lead productivity improvement ideas and continuous improvement teams.
Requirements
- Industrial maintenance degree or certificate preferred; formal manufacturing maintenance education or 3+ years of related experience.
- Proficient mechanical/electrical skills, preferably robotics; ability to read complex instructions, flow‑charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
- Competent use of precision testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Safety‑conscious with ability to perform in an emergency setting.
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Dependable, punctual, follow instructions, and lift up to 100 pounds frequently.
- Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with occasional computer work.
- Perform repetitive motions such as bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, twisting and reaching overhead.
Total Rewards
- Hourly pay starting at $36.87, increasing to $38.73 in the quarter after the 6‑month anniversary.
