Job Description
Supporting production needs, the Maintenance Technician addresses servicing of all equipment. Generally, this involves operating common tooling, performing preventive maintenance and documenting repairs, including working with pneumatics, hydraulic, and electrical systems at an advanced level.
Responsibilities
- Able to understand equipment needs and perform repairs with minimal to no supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance functions as required and expose non‑conformities.
- Use common tooling for diagnostics and repairs.
- Step in and assist when called on, including 'on call' needs.
- Follow LOTO and NFPA70E.
- Create recommendations which are supported by logic and fact.
- Navigate SAPPM, COGZ, and Microsoft products.
The Environment
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to. This includes safety wear such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe shoes, and in limited cases hearing protection.
- Work in a 24/7 facility with multiple shifts, including a 2/2/3 rotating 12‑hour schedule. The schedule is:
- BMD1/D2 day shift operating from 6am-6pm
- BMN1/N2 night shift operating from 6pm-6am
- The job is within a climate‑controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
- The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 3+ years Maintenance
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced mechanical and/or electrical skills and tooling.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment (e.g., boilers, welders, extrusion, machine shop, controls, etc.).
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Basic problem‑solving skills.
- Basic MS Office 365.
- Basic knowledge in OSHA10, NFPA70, LOTO, Aerial Lift, RCRA (Preferred)
- Basic knowledge in computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) for example: Cogz, SAP PM (Preferred)
- PLC skills (Preferred)
