CRISTA Ministries, located in Silverdale, WA, is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician. The role involves performing routine maintenance on CRISTA Facilities under supervision, as well as operating small power equipment and assisting other technicians. Position Summary

Under direct supervision from Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine maintenance of CRISTA Facilities. Performs special projects and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Operate small power equipment and hand tools
• Move equipment as needed
• Assist other Maintenance Technicians as needed
• Provide routine preventive maintenance as directed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Requires:
  • Occasional overtime or unusual hours for on-call responsibilities or emergencies
  • Working outdoors in inclement or harsh weather as directed

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise community service students as needed.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Requires no previous maintenance experience.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

• Current, valid Washington State driver’s license.

SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

• Small power equipment
• Hand tools
• Safety equipment

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

• Must have good mechanical aptitude and be familiar with hand tools and their use.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to perform ladder work.
• Ability to learn and use cloud-based work order system.Ability to lift 60 pounds.

• Trade school / Vocational technical training

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in building maintenance, or trade apprenticeship

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

• Current First Aid / CPR certification

SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
