Job summary

CRISTA Ministries is seeking a Dietary Aide in Silverdale, WA to provide Christ-centered dining service to residents. You will set up and reset dining areas, take orders, prepare and portion meals, and assist with special diets as needed.

The role includes supporting a mission-driven Senior Living environment and collaborating with staff and residents. Qualifications include a Washington State Food Handler’s permit and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, communicate in English at a functional level.
• Past food service experience preferred but not required.
• Washington State Food Handler’s permit is required.

Responsibilities

Shift: AM Shift (6am) and Weekends.

Compensation: $17.13 - $18.50

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for table service to residents. Provide Christ-centric customer service that aligns with CRISTA’s values. Set up and clear dining room tables and perform other duties as required. This position is an integral part of Senior Living’s mission of providing joy and purpose to the lives of our residents.

Essential Functions

• Properly take food orders from residents and deliver their food to themin a courteous and considerate manner.
• Prepare and portion meals according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Serve food and beverages to residents in the dining room or deliver meal trays to rooms.
• Assist with preparing special diets (pureed or mechanically soft diets) as directed.
• Clear and reset tables for the next service.
• Maintain knowledge of food handling and infection control, including HACCP standardsin order tomaintain a sanitary dining room and kitchen area.
• Manage problems as they arise in the dining room.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in‑services.
• Complete allannualrequired training.
• Assist with catering and special events as assigned.
• Train new employees
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, remove trash, and maintain a clean workspace.
• Stock food, supplies and beverages.
• Properly use alljob‑relatedfood equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Work collaboratively withsupervisor, coworkers and residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Licensure / Certification

• Current Washington State Food Handler’s permit.

• Adhere to CRISTA dress code standards.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using while numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform operations using money, weight measurement and volume.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and residents.
• Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions. WAC 388-113.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Previous food experience in related field.
