Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Maintenance Technician position at Fresh & Ready Foods.

Location: 108 Stallcup Drive, Sikeston, MO 63801 (online applications only)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Additional details provided during interview.

Requirements: Previous maintenance and mechanical experience required.

Pay Range: $20.50 - $23.50 per hour

Job Summary

Performs a variety of maintenance duties to support our facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, clean, and operate plant, shops, mechanical areas, grounds, and campus facilities.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs; coordinate with supervisors, vendors, or on-call personnel as needed.
• Update work statuses, timing, and costs using company tech systems.
• Support fleet maintenance, including welding, plumbing, electrical work, and vehicle troubleshooting.
• Assist with minor repairs and report major issues.
• Clean sidewalks, parking areas, and dispose of trash and debris.
• Operate electrical and gasoline-powered equipment.
• Maintain and repair equipment using appropriate tools.
• Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and drywall maintenance.
• Respond to emergency issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete work orders and inspections.
• Read and transmit detailed instructions accurately.
• Serve as part of the emergency response team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to heat, noise, dust, dirt, and areas requiring infection control.
• Must meet deadlines and be flexible to work weekends and nights as needed.
