Metal Forming and Coining in Shelby Township, MI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the shop running by repairing and diagnosing equipment across the plant. This role supports the TapeMaster Plant located in Troy, MI.

The position is non-exempt, full-time, reports to Mill Supervisor, and requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance with experience in Haas/Okuma/Samsung/Doosan machinery. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and pass pre-employment screening.

Maintenance Technician

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Mill Supervisor

Summary:

Repairs and corrects machine issues to keep the shop floor running.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop controls knowledge, with a detailed training plan on FANUC controls


• Assist purchasing manager with administrative duties (spares inventory, spares ordering, PM management, etc.)


• Performing machine repair


• Assisting with production needs


• Diagnose machine issues and develop repair strategies


• Help diagnose, develop, and implement predictive maintenance plans


• Work with department supervisors to prioritize and complete maintenance activities


• Other duties as assigned

• Requires prolonged standing, walking, and movement throughout the production facility for approximately 80% of the scheduled shift


• Must be capable of safely lifting and moving materials, components, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (lbs).
