Job summary

Ideal Tridon is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Auburn Hills, MI to ensure continuous operation of machinery and equipment. You will diagnose issues, replace parts, and perform preventive maintenance while adhering to safety standards and factory procedures.

The role reports to the shift supervisor and requires strong mechanical skills, inventory awareness, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of a qualified apprenticeship program.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of inventory systems.
• Capable of utilizing basic math skills.
• Capable of using scan guns and ERP software.
• Hilo certified or able to become certified in operating lift equipment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.

Responsibilities

• Completes preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Follows diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and uses precision instruments.
• Uses hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Uses measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Maintains and inventories equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Documents actions and communicates irregularities to team.
