Job summary

Modineer Company in South Bend, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for first shift. The role performs preventive and predictive maintenance on factory equipment, troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues, and supports automation systems including PLCs and HMIs.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with hand tools, forklifts, and a background in maintaining robotic welders and stamping presses.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of hand tools such as wrenches, saws, air tools, etc…
• Must have previous maintenance experience.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Must be able to trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to equipment.
• Trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
• Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers preferred but not required.
• Troubleshoot Robotic Welders, Stamping Presses, Benders, Roll Former, CNC Lasers, CNC Brake Press, and general machinery.
• Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• Perform tasks as assigned.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance department supervisor at specific Business Unit

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Schedule: 1st Shift / Monday - Thursday 6am to 4:30pm

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Must be a highly motivated individual who is self-directed and able to work with little supervision. Will perform preventive and predictive maintenance to the equipment as well as trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Proficiency in programming PLCs (Allen Bradley, DL06, etc.), and H.M.I. systems is preferred. Knowledge of robotic welders and stamping presses is a plus.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to equipment.
• Trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
