Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.
Your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

Make useful recommendations regarding improved machine performance.
Follow safety procedures, recommended practices, job safety analysis (JSA), safe work permits and comply with plant safety programs at all times.
Coordinate/communicate maintenance activities with production personnel to minimize downtime.
Know general shop safety practices, including handling and storage of potentially dangerous equipment.
Ensure utility activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (also see cGMP) and other related regulatory practices.
Read and follow equipment schematics, blueprints logic diagrams and engineering drawings.
Perform troubleshooting/repairs of production and facility equipment without supervision.
If qualified, assist/use electrical testing equipment including multi-meters, clamp-on current meters, meggers etc. in a safe manner.
Analyze equipment and line problems and implement resolutions.
Work with other technicians in the intricacies of assigned machinery and equipment.
Provide continuous improvement ideas for control systems to enhance equipment performance, and complete related corrective maintenance when required.
Utilize our CMMS (EAMS) to document repairs/maintenance or work performed and to book all labor.
Have the capability to perform independently or with a team.
Utilize building management systems, Delta V/Continuum, for monitoring and operation of plant utilities/production equipment.
High School Diploma or GED
6+ years of experience
Knowledge of basic mathematics
Knowledge of the general trades, that is, construction, electrical, machine shop
Possess skill to understand and execute simple to complex maintenance task for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated systems
Computer skills, good written and verbal English communication skills
Pharmaceutical and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of cGxP} operations
Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance technology or related field of study with minimum of 4 years relative experience
Must have the ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, lift at least 50lbs, sit for extended periods, twist, squat, bend, work at floor level and be able to use a computer for extended periods.
Must be able to work a rotating schedule including 12-hour nights, days, weekends and holidays.
Must be comfortable with wearing captive gowning when required to enter classified areas.
