Challenger School is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for our Berryessa/California Regional Office in San Jose, CA. You will inspect facilities, perform routine maintenance, respond to repairs, and coordinate larger projects to keep campuses safe and functional.

The role requires experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry, plus a reliable vehicle and the ability to pass a background check.

Job description

Challenger School is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our team at our Berryessa/California Regional Office. As a maintenance technician at Challenger, you will be tasked with keeping our campuses safe, functional, and well-maintained. The standard work week is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 3:00 pm with occasional overtime opportunities. On a day-to-day basis, you will be inspecting facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to urgent repair requests, and coordinating larger maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Comply with OSHA standards, government licensing, safety, and operational requirements
• Maintain interior and exterior functionality and safety of the school building
• Keep school grounds clear and functional through all seasons
