Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for small to mid-size buildings and industrial systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and support energy management within our Engineering and Technical Services scope.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair building equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while following established procedures. This on-site role requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements and lift heavy loads as needed.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections and diagnose problems.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Conduct building walk-arounds to understand portfolio buildings, layouts and complexities.
  • Investigate faults, identify causes and remedies.
  • Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
  • Support energy management and ensure building systems run efficiently.
  • Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
  • Follow procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
  • Ensure repairs are carried out under current regulations.
  • Deliver output following defined procedures with supervision.
  • Additional tasks may be included.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Conduct building walk arounds to develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexities
  • Investigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ensure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Good customer relationship skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
