Job summary

First Step House in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a 36-hour work week and a day shift. The role offers a $50,500 annual salary with a $500 sign-on bonus and a strong benefits package, including PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

  • Valid Utah Driver's License and insurability.
  • Experience in one or more building trades or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
  • Troubleshooting plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance, and facility issues.
  • Installing and maintaining air conditioning units and appliances.
  • Repairing locks, doors, cabinets, and other building fixtures.
  • Maintaining attractive and safe grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, and seasonal upkeep.
  • Identifying larger repair needs and coordinating with specialized contractors when appropriate.
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Helping ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming for clients, staff, and visitors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

No two days are exactly the same. You'll help maintain and improve multiple First Step House facilities by:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and general building repairs

WHAT YOU BRING
Required
  • Valid Utah Driver's License and insurability
