Job summary

PK Companies, a property management company, is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to join the team in a full-time role. The position offers medical, dental, vision benefits, 401k matching, paid time off and holidays, with an hourly wage of $19.

Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining equipment and buildings, grounds upkeep, snow removal, handling work orders promptly, and being available for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related fields preferred.
• Familiar with hand-held tools and equipment.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Deadline- and detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Electrical knowledge is helpful.
• Experience with boiler and cooling towers is preferred.
• Customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings.
• Grounds work; maintain common areas inside and outside.
• Snow removal and after-hours emergency maintenance.
• Complete maintenance and repair work orders promptly.
• Order and replace broken parts or equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
• Paint, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical and flooring repairs.
• On-call as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
• Grounds work, maintain all common areas, outside and inside as needed
• Snow Removal and After hour Emergency Maintenance
• Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion
• Order and replace broken parts or equipment
• Maintain a clean and a safe work space
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical and flooring repair
• On-Call as needed
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields preferred
• Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
• Must have own hand tools
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Electrical knowledge or certification helpful
• Experience working with boiler and cooling towers preferred
