Job summary

Mutual Housing Management in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform janitorial tasks, preventive maintenance, repairs, and turnover of apartments. This role ensures a high standard of cleanliness, excellent customer service, and a hazard-free environment on site.

The position offers on-site housing, full-time hours, and a schedule of Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm. Compensation ranges from $23.47 to $25.53 per hour, with an additional 2 bed apartment included, depending on

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in skilled apartment maintenance.
• Onsite housing is provided and required.
• Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions in English.
• Work in a collaborative manner as part of the site team.
• Flexible to change work schedules.
• Understand and commit to Mutual Housing’s mission and values.
• Wear a Mutual Housing Management uniform at all times when on duty.
• Learn how to input maintenance work orders and other information into computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner; cleans up after work.
• Performs repairs on the property including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical; tools provided by MHM.
• Cleans apartments during turnover as directed.
• Maintains grounds and common areas including lawns, shrubbery, and parking areas.
• Provides on-call maintenance service; responds to emergencies as required.
• Sets up conference rooms and community spaces when needed.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Advises Property Manager on the overall condition of the property.
• Keeps managers and residents informed of scheduling and progress of maintenance work orders.
• Monitors maintenance budgets and advises on budget revisions.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of site vendors for landscape and other maintenance issues.
• Respect the confidentiality of resident information.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician completes janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and apartment turnovers. As a part of the site team, this position is responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical. MHM provides all tools needed for this position.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including lawns and flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, and trash pickup.
• Provides on-call maintenance service, as directed. Responds to emergencies, as required.
• Sets up conference room and community space, as needed.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Advises Property Manager on the overall condition of the property.
• Keeps Property Manager and residents informed of scheduling and progress of maintenance work orders and scheduled physical improvements under tech’s purview.
• Monitors maintenance budget and recommend revisions to budgets and advise supervisor when there are budget concerns.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of site vendors for landscape maintenance and other maintenance issues.
• Respect the confidentiality of resident information.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years in skilled apartment maintenance work required.
• Onsite housing is provided and required as part of this role.
• Take directions from the supervisor.
