Ionbond's Rockaway, NJ facility seeks a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and resolve machine issues, perform preventive maintenance and document all work. The role collaborates with a cross-location team and supports Plant Manager in ensuring smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, and a drive to learn. Training is provided for vacuum tech exposure, with overtime and travel as needed.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years in an industrial manufacturing maintenance role.
• Associate degree/Certification in Engineering, Technical, or Trade preferred; diploma/GED minimum.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment, cleaning lines, and other plant machinery.
• Document and maintain all equipment modifications, maintenance histories, drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Troubleshoot vacuum systems with working around high-voltage components.
• Evaluate repair and maintenance needs.
• Monitor uptime for all equipment; develop and implement plans to minimize equipment breakdown.
• Provide input to Managers and Process Engineers to resolve manufacturing interruptions, downtime.
• Responsible for 5S Program in working areas.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Other facility maintenance tasks as needed.

Maintenance Technician - Rockaway, NJ

Join Ionbond's Rockaway Coating Center as a Maintenance Technician and put your troubleshooting skills to work! In this role, you'll diagnose and resolve machine issues to keep operations running smoothly, with support from a collaborative team across locations. While experience with vacuum technology is a plus, we’re happy to provide training—just bring your knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering, a strong drive to learn, and a commitment to teamwork and preventative maintenance. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll play a vital role in our success.

What do we ask?

The ideal candidate will have at least a minimum of 3 years of industrial manufacturing environment maintenance experience. An associate’s degree/Certification in Engineering, Technical, or Trade education preferred; diploma/GED minimum required education. Experience with Vacuum Technology is preferred but not required. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective repairs. Working knowledge of control systems, PLC controls. Able to work independently, is a self-starter, and is highly motivated to complete projects and meet deadlines. Possess good communication skills; clearly communicate with peers, management, and suppliers, both verbally and in email communication. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation ranges from $32 to $38 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, and is paid bi-weekly. Available to work overtime and weekends as required. Able to travel on occasion to other U.S. Centers and internationally as needed.
