Job summary

Ionbond seeks an Electromechanical Reliability Technician in Rockaway, NJ to own uptime and reliability of vacuum coating and plant support equipment. You’ll troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document changes to drawings and schematics.

Training on vacuum technology is provided. You will work with the Plant Manager and Process Engineers to minimize downtime, support 5S practices, and ensure safe operations while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Associate’s degree/certification in Engineering/Technical/Trade preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
• Vacuum technology exposure preferred (training provided).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to perform root cause analysis and implement durable repairs.
• Self-starter who can work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines.
• Clear communicator with peers, management, and suppliers—verbally and via email.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on coating equipment, cleaning lines, and facility machinery.
• Documentation of modifications, maintenance histories, drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Troubleshooting vacuum systems; safe work around 120/208/240/480V systems and high-voltage components.
• Root cause analysis, repair planning, and reliability improvements to minimize downtime.
• Real-time collaboration with Managers and Process Engineers to resolve issues.
• Ownership of 5S practices within assigned areas.
• Adherence to safety regulations and site protocols.
