Job summary

MCM Staffing LLC in Michigan is seeking a maintenance technician to learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of presses and equipment, adhering to the Preventative Maintenance Program.

You will develop and perform preventative maintenance on a schedule, fabricate and repair equipment, troubleshoot and improve systems, and help prevent downtime while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You will train under the molding manager and may stop the process if nonconforming materials are found.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

• Time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in maintenance and repair of presses and equipment per Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Develop and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot and propose repairs or improvements.
• Order parts and coordinate with service technicians as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records.
• Help prevent unscheduled downtime.
• Perform building maintenance and ensure safety procedures.
• Train under molding manager or designee and follow direction.
• Authority to stop the process if material is nonconforming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and building maintenance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ability to drive and operate a forklift.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.
• Good recordkeeping skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• SUMMARY: To learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of all presses and equipment, while adhering to the Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Develop and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance.
• Fabrication and repair of equipment.
• Troubleshoot, fix and/or recommend all repairs, upgrades or improvements.
• Order parts and call in any service technicians from outside companies as required.
• Maintain records of maintenance performed.
• Help prevent unscheduled downtime.
• Perform building maintenance.
• Perform and adhere to lock-out procedures, along with any and all other safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work with and train under the direction of the molding manager or designee.
• Has authority to stop the process if nonconforming or suspect material is found.
• Other duties as assigned.
