Job summary

SDK Apartments is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Delran, NJ community. You will complete work orders, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the property team to maintain safety and comfort in every home.

The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance experience, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and on-call availability. EPA/HVAC licenses are a plus; a valid driver’s license is required. Our team is dedicated to resident service and property upkeep.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily environments.
• Related licenses such as EPA/HVAC are a plus.
• Skilled in plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, drywall repair, and snow removal.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and follow-through skills.
• Available for on-call emergency services as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in the US without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and regularly scheduled maintenance for the community.
• Complete assigned work orders effectively and efficiently.
• Install, replace, or repair damaged equipment and appliances.
• Carry out carpentry, tiling, and painting as needed.
• Be on-call to address urgent resident matters after hours.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work in progress items.
• Collaborate with the property team to keep the community safe and well-maintained.
• Assist with routine grounds maintenance and snow removal as required.
• Address ad hoc projects as assigned.

SDK Tenby Chase is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Maintenance Technician to join our committed team dedicated to ensuring the safety and excellent condition of our community.

This is a full-time position based in Delran, NJ, with mandatory on-call and snow removal hours.

About the Position

As one of maintenance technicians, you will…

• Model behavior that is aligned with SDK values when interacting with anyone associated with SDK.
• Complete assigned work orders effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure preventive and regularly scheduled maintenance procedures are completed.
• Ensure all procedures related to apartment unit turnovers are completed in a timely manner.
• Install, replace or repair damaged or new equipment and appliances.
• Complete carpentry, tiling and painting as needed.
• Be on-call to address urgent resident matters after regular work hours.
• Aim to resolve service requests within 24 hours, as much as possible, following established work order procedures; communicate effectively with the team on progress and roadblocks.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, apartment make-ready status, and work in progress items.
• Collaborate with the property team members to maintain a safe community.
• When needed, be responsible for routine grounds and property maintenance, including but not limited to, trash removal, general cleaning and snow removal.
• Address ad hoc projects as assigned.

About Your Professional Background & Skills

• A minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily environment.
• Related licenses is a plus (e.g., EPA/HVAC).
• Skilled in general plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and follow through skills.
• Available for on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess stellar references and stable work history.
• Must be able to work with any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever.

The annualized gross hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 plus bonus eligibility. The actual compensation within the range will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
