SDK Millbridge Gardens in Clementon, NJ is seeking a full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our community-focused team. The role emphasizes maintaining HVAC systems and water heaters, with on-call and snow removal duties as part of the service.

You will diagnose and repair issues across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other trades, while keeping preventive maintenance records and ensuring prompt responses to work orders.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Universal or Type 2 HVAC license.
• Minimum 5–7 years in HVAC and at least 2 years building maintenance experience.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related trades is required.
• Strong customer service, reliable references and stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC systems and hot water heaters across units.
• Replace HVAC equipment including central air units and water heaters as needed.
• Address issues across electrical, plumbing, painting, tile, and carpentry as required.
• Install, replace or repair equipment; resolve service requests promptly.
• Keep preventive maintenance and turnover records up to date.
• Stay on-call after hours for urgent resident matters; coordinate with team.
• Assist with routine grounds and snow removal as needed.
• Collaborate with property team to maintain a safe community.

SDK Millbridge Gardens is seeking a full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our committed team dedicated to ensuring the safety and excellent condition of our community.

This position is based in Clementon, NJ with required on-call and snow removal hours.

About the Position

As our HVAC maintenance technician, you will…

• Model behavior that is aligned with SDK values when interacting with anyone associated with SDK.
• Ensure all HVAC systems and hot water heaters are well maintained and operational.
• Replace HVAC systems including central air units and hot water heaters as needed.
• Assess and repair issues including HVAC systems, hot water heaters, electrical, plumbing, painting, minor tile work, and carpentry.
• Install, replace or repair damaged or new equipment and appliances.
• Aim to resolve service requests within 24 hours, as much as possible, following established work order procedures; communicate effectively with the team on progress and roadblocks.
• Ensure preventive and regularly scheduled maintenance procedures are completed.
• Ensure all procedures related to apartment unit turnovers are completed in a timely manner.
• Be on-call to address urgent resident matters after regular work hours.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, apartment make-ready status, and work in progress items.
• Collaborate with the property team members to maintain a safe community.
• As needed, be responsible for routine grounds and property maintenance, including but not limited to, snow removal and general cleaning.
• Address ad hoc projects as assigned.

About Your Professional Background & Skills

• Must have a Universal or Type 2 License.
• A minimum of 5 – 7 years of HVAC experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and follow through skills.
• Available for on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess stellar references and stable work history.
• Must be able to work with any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever.

The gross hourly pay range for this position is between $30.00 - 32.00. The actual compensation will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
