Job summary

SDK Apartments SM in Kingston, PA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our committed team, ensuring safety and excellent condition of our community. This is a full-time role based in Kingston with mandatory on-call and snow removal hours.

You will perform preventive maintenance, handle turnovers, install or repair equipment, carpentry, painting, and coordinate with the property team to keep the community safe and well maintained.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily environment.
• Related licenses are a plus.
• Skilled in general plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, drywall repair, and snow removal.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Model behavior aligned with SDK values when interacting with anyone associated with SDK.
• Complete assigned work orders effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure preventive and regularly scheduled maintenance procedures are completed.
• Ensure all procedures related to apartment unit turnovers are completed in a timely manner.
• Install, replace or repair damaged or new equipment and appliances.
• Complete carpentry, tiling and painting as needed.
• Be on-call to address urgent resident matters after regular work hours.
• Aim to resolve service requests within 24 hours, communicating progress and roadblocks to the team.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, status of make-ready, and work in progress items.
• Collaborate with the property team to maintain a safe community.
• Perform routine grounds and property maintenance including trash removal and snow removal when needed.
• Address ad hoc projects as assigned.

About the Position

As one of maintenance technicians, you will…

About Your Professional Background & Skills

• A minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily environment.
• Related licenses is a plus!
• Skilled in general plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and follow through skills.
• Available for on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess stellar references and stable work history.
• Must be able to work with any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever.

The annualized gross hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 plus bonus eligibility. The actual compensation within the range will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
