Job summary

Neighborhood in Rio Rancho is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for our community buildings, apartments and common spaces. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and respond to work orders.

The role requires about one year of maintenance experience, ability to use hand and power tools, and a commitment to safety. We offer a benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements throughout the community, including resident apartments and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency service calls while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Support community safety efforts by following established procedures and assisting during emergency situations as needed.

About You

• Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance, construction, facilities, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high-quality workmanship.
