Job summary

Weinstein Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Make Ready to join our team in Richmond. This is a full-time role with a standard 40-hour week and rotating on-call shifts. You will complete turn/make ready of vacant apartments, assist with work orders, and help maintain grounds and community amenities.

EPA certification is a plus; no HVAC certification required to start. We offer competitive pay, PTO, holidays, 401(k) matching, and an employee assistance program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Maintain property grounds on a daily basis.
  • Help maintain the appearance of the community including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

  • Pay: starting at $20/hour | $21/hour (if you are or when you become EPA certified)

    • $150/week (calls or no calls)
    • Additional $150 per holiday on-call

Maintenance Technician - Make Ready Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week)
  • Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments
  • Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed
  • Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
  • Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
  • No HVACcertification required if you are willing to train and work towards getting certified
  • EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting / repair experience is a plus!
  • Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
  • Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements

  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
  • Ability to drive a golf cart
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Experience using hand and power tools
