Chief Industries, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform advanced maintenance and repair of facility and industrial equipment in Indiana. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and hands-on problem solving to keep production running smoothly.
You will install, modify, and maintain machinery, read blueprints and electrical diagrams, and troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs. Documentation, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA standards are essential; welding experience is a plus.
Responsible for advanced maintenance and repairs of facility and industrial equipment, enhancing productivity through the installation of new machinery, designing electrical systems, programming PLCs, and documenting their activities while participating in training programs to ensure skill development and safety compliance .

Proficient in mechanical systems such as pneumatics and hydraulics, and electrical systems including PLCs and variable frequency drives.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with a proven track record of resolving equipment issues efficiently.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Prior experience in a Maintenance Mechanic or similar industrial maintenance role.
Competent in basic computer operations, with strong math skills and the ability to write clear, detailed maintenance reports.
Welding experience is a plus.
