Job summary

Chief Industries, BonnaVilla in Aurora, Nebraska, seeks a full-time maintenance technician to repair, install and maintain mechanical, electrical and hydraulic factory equipment. You will use testing equipment and hand or power tools to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

This role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience or equivalent technical education, and includes overtime, mornings and nights as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience or equivalent technical education.
• Welding experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic equipment.
• Use testing equipment and tools to diagnose and fix issues.
• Wire electrical circuits and controls, troubleshoot problems.
• Requisition parts from supervisor as needed.
• Comply with lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
• Overtime, mornings and nights as needed.

Job description

Performs various machine repair, installation, and maintenance functions on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic factory equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Required to make repairs and performs preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment such as motors, production machines, engines, hydraulics and pneumatic equipment. Use testing equipment and necessary hand and power tools.
• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner. Follow proper procedures for lockout. Wear required protective equipment.
• Wire electrical circuits and controls, and troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Requisition needed parts and supplies from supervisor necessary to carry out repairs.
• Snow removal when needed.
• Must be able to work overtime, mornings and nights, as needed.
• Self starter with the motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner while prioritizing safety.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
