Job summary

Amcor in Princeton, IN is seeking a maintenance technician to maintain production molding and assembly machinery and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and install systems to ensure continuous operation.

This role requires ability to read prints/schematics, experience with hydraulics/electrical systems, and the capability to work with limited supervision in a high‑performance manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent
  • 1–2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to read prints/schematics and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

  • Installs, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on operating equipment and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and program issues on molding and AMO machines.
  • Installs electrical, plumbing and interface systems on machines.
  • Develops solutions to improve and resolve machine issues.
  • Performs MIG & TIG welding.
  • Uses PLC and RS Logic to test and adjust equipment.

Job description

The location of this position is in Princeton, IN.

SUMMARY

Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with maintaining production molding and assembly machinery and auxiliary equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Installs, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of operating equipment, other equipment, and support equipment as assigned.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and or program issues with Molding and AMO machines and all support equipment.
  • Installs electrical, plumbing and interface systems on machines.
  • Develops solutions to improve and resolve issues with machines.
  • Performs MIG & TIG welding.
  • Understands PLC and RS Logic and knows how to use them to test equipment and/or make adjustments to equipment.
  • Performs daily PM’s and maintains the proper paperwork.
  • Complies with safety regulations and established lean manufacturing principles.
  • Works with other mechanics, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure continuous operations within the plant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 1-2 years of experience working in maintenance for a manufacturing company preferred.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a closely related field or equivalent applied experience with hydraulics, industrial electricity, electronics, and control systems is required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills necessary.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Experience and ability to read prints/schematics required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and welding is beneficial.
  • Additional training may be required to retain position.
