Job summary

Amcor Princeton, IN seeks a Full-time Maintenance Technician to keep molding and assembly machinery running. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic/PLC issues, read prints, and support safety and lean manufacturing standards.

Requirements: 1–2 years in manufacturing maintenance and an Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent). Strong communication and ability to work with limited supervision. HVAC, plumbing, and welding beneficial.

  • 1–2 years of experience in maintenance for a manufacturing company preferred.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent with hydraulics, industrial electricity, electronics, and control systems required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Experience reading prints/schematics required.

Responsibilities

Job Description
SUMMARY

Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with maintaining production molding and assembly machinery and auxiliary equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Installs, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of operating equipment, other equipment, and support equipment as assigned.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and or program issues with Molding and AMO machines and all support equipment.
  • Installs electrical, plumbing and interface systems on machines.
  • Develops solutions to improve and resolve issues with machines.
  • Performs MIG & TIG welding.
  • Uses fabricating skills.
  • Reads prints/schematics.
  • Understands PLC and RS Logic and knows how to use them to test equipment and/or make adjustments to equipment.
  • Performs daily PM’s and maintains the proper paperwork.
  • Complies with safety regulations and established lean manufacturing principles.
  • Works with other mechanics, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure continuous operations within the plant.
  • Provides general facilities maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 1-2 years of experience working in maintenance for a manufacturing company preferred.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a closely related field or equivalent applied experience with hydraulics, industrial electricity, electronics, and control systems is required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills necessary.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Experience and ability to read prints/schematics required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and welding is beneficial.
  • Additional training may be required to retain position
