Echelon Property Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to maintain single-family rental homes, perform repairs, and handle preventive maintenance. You will respond to maintenance requests promptly and participate in after-hours on-call rotations to ensure minimal disruption for residents.

The role emphasizes quality workmanship, problem-solving, and delivering outstanding customer service while coordinating with residents, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of residential maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, painting, carpentry and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and general maintenance.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests.
• Diagnose and resolve emergency maintenance issues including plumbing leaks, HVAC failures, electrical outages, lockouts and other urgent repairs.
• Participate in rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule for emergencies.
• Complete work orders accurately using property management software.
• Perform preventive maintenance on homes, building systems, and equipment.
• Prepare vacant homes for new residents by completing repairs, inspections, and move-in readiness.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and seasonal property upkeep.

This position is responsible for maintaining our single-family rental homes by performing repairs, completing preventive maintenance, preparing homes for new residents, and responding to maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Deliver excellent customer service while interacting professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
