Job summary

IEC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for its Mountian View, CA apartment community. The role requires experience in apartment maintenance, strong communication, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8am-5pm, with on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines.

• Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and regional support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, fitness center, and amenities.
• Walk the grounds to pick up litter and pet waste.
• Sweep dumpster areas.
• Assist maintenance and office staff with posting property communications to tenants and events.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
• Identify safety hazards and propose elimination methods.
• Provide customer service with residents and team members with respect.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Position Summary:

IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 149-unit apartment community inMountian View, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position isTuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ.
• Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.
• Sweep the dumpster areas.
• Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
• Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect.
• Ad-hoc assignments as needed.
