Job summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Portland Jantzen Beach is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, and equipment in optimal condition. The role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and maintaining records. This is a full-time on-site position requiring flexible hours to support hotel operations and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hotel or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Flexible availability based on hotel operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC/PTAC, and mechanical systems.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain the swimming pool, fitness center, and hotel equipment.
• Keep hotel grounds, parking areas, entrances, and exterior spaces clean and well-maintained.
• Identify and promptly address maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain organized storage areas and adequate maintenance supplies.
• Work collaboratively with hotel departments to ensure IHG brand standards are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
