Job summary

Holladay Park Plaza, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR to maintain buildings, equipment, and spaces. The role focuses on safety, comfort, and a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members.

Schedule: Fri–Mon, 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and responding to requests. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general systems is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in carpentry, building maintenance, general repair, or a related field.
• Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, shop equipment, and maintenance tools.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills with experience using maintenance management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements throughout the community, including drywall repair, light painting, and general building maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs to support safe and efficient operations.
• Respond to maintenance requests, community alarms, emergency calls, and urgent building needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
• Provide outstanding customer service to residents while supporting community safety and emergency response procedures.

Overview

Holladay Park Plaza is a premier not-for-profit Life Plan Community located in Portland's vibrant Lloyd District. We are seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to help maintain our buildings, equipment, and community spaces while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members.

Schedule: Friday through Monday, 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Be Doing
