Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services in Platte City, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will identify issues, order parts, and complete repairs, with emergency response during breakdowns.

This role requires hands-on problem solving and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify solutions effectively
  • Hand tools proficiency: Skillful use of various hand tools and power tools
  • Basic computer skills: Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS) to log work orders and track equipment history
  • Problem-solving abilities: Capability to analyze situations, identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Physical ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Forklift certified (will train and certify)
  • Welding, Fabrication and some electrical experience preferred

  • Maintaining inventory of common replacement parts and ordering new parts as needed

  • Adhering to safety procedures and regulations when performing maintenance

Salary Range: $23.00 - $40.00 Hourly

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

JOB SUMMARY

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within a facility, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely by identifying issues, ordering necessary parts, and completing repairs in a timely manner; often including emergency response to urgent breakdowns.

WORK CONDITIONS

Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
