ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The role supports operations to improve efficiency and equipment reliability, with a pay range of $20–$28 per hour depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in maintenance, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to read manuals and work with OEMs. LOTO safety and PPE usage are required, with opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Qualifications

• Familiar with 120v AC and 24v DC systems.
• Read equipment manuals and order replacement parts.

Responsibilities

• Ensures machine operation and minimizes downtime via regular inspections.
• Diagnoses and repairs breakdowns to meet production demands.
• Follows LOTO safety procedures and uses PPE at all times.
• Documents work orders and inspection logs accurately.
• Generates parts requests and maintains inventory levels.
• Performs general building and facilities repairs.
• Collaborates on equipment modifications to improve efficiency.
• Works with the maintenance team to resolve issues.

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting the overall efficiency and functionality of the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensures machine operation and limits downtime by performing regular inspections and documenting potential issues.
• Diagnoses and repairs machine breakdowns in a timely and professional manner to meet production demands.
• Practices strict Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) safety procedures and utilizes appropriate PPE at all times.
• Accurately documents all work performed, including work orders, inspection logs, and parts requests, in accordance with company policy.
• Generates parts requests for emergency repairs and assists in maintaining necessary inventory levels.
• Performs general building and facilities repairs as necessary to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborates on equipment modifications aimed at improving operational efficiency or minimizing recurring breakdowns.
• Works closely with and engages with the maintenance team to resolve complex issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 1–2 years of experience. A combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, automotive, construction, plumbing, and electrical experience is acceptable. (Experience with a multimeter, and 480 voltage a plus.)
• Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, motors, and chain drives.
• Basic understanding of 120vAC and 24vDC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals to determine proper operation and order replacement parts.
• Ability to work with equipment OEMs directly for technical support when necessary.
• Proficiency in general computer functions for data entry and communication.
• Ability to recognize hazards and various sources of energy (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic). (We touched on having a good mechanical aptitude, and having the electrical would be a big bonus.
• Ability to work safely and follow specific maintenance instructions.
• Completion of a Technical School program or relevant vocational training is highly preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in a manufacturing environment.
